CAT students are Youth Dance England Ambassadors

2 CAT students have been chosen to represent their generation as Youth Dance England Ambassadors.

Ariana Thomas from Dance4 CAT and Andre Francis from The Place CAT have been picked out to promote dance for all children and young people in their regions. The role of the National Young Dance Ambassador carries a lot of responsibility along with a lot of rewards and opportunities for personal growth and achievement.

"I look at dance as a way of expressing myself like other people might express themselves through art or through music, and I believe expressing yourself is an important attribute to have, which is why I'm so keen on promoting dance as a hobby and ensuring all towns, like Chesterfield where I live, have the opportunity to express themselves through dance!! I'm really pleased to be a National Young Dance Ambassador and want to fulfill my role to the best of my ability"- Ariana

When I joined the CAT Scheme I immediately knew I was part of something special. It was the perfect introduction for me to learn about what life would be like in full time training. The course allowed for me to be taught by professionals dancing within companies such as Richard Alston Dance Company and English National Ballet. The CAT Scheme provides the best foundation for anyone wanting to pursue a career as a professional dancer, and will set them up perfectly to continue on to full time training.
