CAT students perform in 'The Nutcracker' alongside the professionals!

November 18, 2011

Last week 24 CAT students from Northern Ballet Academy performed alongside the company dancers in David Nixon's production of 'The Nutcracker'. The performances took place at The Alhambra Theatre in Bradford and the students played the parts of the party children and the mice.

For the students it was a dream come true to dance alongside their favourite company dancers. Max Cookward (age 11) said 'It makes you a bit nervous but only just before you go on stage. You have high expectations for youself so you don't want to mess up. But usually once I start dancing i'm alright'.

Even after 4 years of teaching for CAT, I still find myself continually surprised by the talent and dedication of the students. It is great to watch their development and know that they are as motivated to learn as we are to teach.
