CAT students perform with Retina Dance Company

The level three students from Yorkshire Young Dancers (Contemporary Strand) performed alongside Retina Dance Company in ‘Layers of Skin’ at the Riley Theatre on 15th of October 2011. Working with Artistic Director Filip Van Huffel and dancer Matthew Slater, the students gained phenomenal insight in performing with an outstanding professional company. Tracy Witney, CAT Manager at NSCD said “This was an opportunity that we could not miss; our students showed such professionalism in both the creative process and performance, we are very proud of them”.

It’s amazing to see such dedicated and talented students work to develop themselves, not just as dancers, but as future artists. Their levels of technical ability are sure to give them sound footings as they embark on what I am convinced, are going to be some fantastic careers.
