Dance City Boys Workshop

Boys Workshop – Based on the works of Banksy

The Centre for Advanced Training (CAT) at Dance City, Newcastle, is offering a one-off amazing experience to give boys aged 10-16 an insight into what it’s like to be a student on this unique and inspirational Department for Education programme, which is part of the Government’s Music and Dance Scheme.

The workshop will consist of a class, a Banksy inspired creative session and a sharing at the end of the day, which parents and guardians are welcome to attend.

“I actually got a call back to the final audition and I thought, I’ll take it as it is, give it a go and I absolutely loved it. It was completely different. I was going into it thinking, being narrow minded, this is not the style of dance I do. I thought ballet wasn’t for me, contemporary wasn’t for me.”

Connor Scott, CAT graduate and BBC Young Dancer 2015. Currently studying at Rambert School
